Marisa Clapp Wins Third Meet

BOSTON, Mass., October 5, 2002 - - Springfield junior Marisa Clapp (Wichendon, Mass.) finished first for the third time this year as the Pride beat host MIT Saturday afternoon 19-36.

Clapp ran 18:34.07 in the 5,017 meter run to take first place. Pride senior Kelley Henry (Whitinsville, Mass.) placed fourth with a time of 19:49:31. Freshman Meghan Young (Hurley, N.Y.) placed sixth with a time of 20:23:51, and sophomore Jennifer Saucier (Derry, N.H.) finished seventh with a time of 20:31:95 for Springfield.
