Bishop Competes In Penn Relays In Hammer Throw
Philadelphia, Pa. - April 24, 2008 - Kelsey Bishop finished 21st out of 34 hammer throwers in the championship and college sections of the 2008 Penn Relays on Thursday.Bishop finished 11th out of 23 starters, including being the second-top finisher among Division III competitors in the meet. She recorded a throw of 47.4 meters, or 155'6".
The Pride return to action this weekend as it travels to Smith College for the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships.

Head Coach Jim Pennington
Jim Pennington enters his 26th season as head coach of the Springfield College women’s cross country and track and field teams in 2009-2010. Under Pennington’s direction, the Pride has recorded seven top 20 finishes at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and seven top 15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
