

A native of Somers, Conn., Jez has been sensational for the Pride this season, especially this week. In two games, Jez scooped up a team-best 18 ground balls and went 25-of-43 from the face-off "X", good for a 58.1 percentage figure. In Springfield's first win of the season on Wednesday against Gordon, Jez went 12-of-20 from the "X". The Pride won by a score of 10-7 with Jez picking up a game-high 10 ground balls.
On Saturday, Jez was instrumental in Springfield's nine-goal comeback victory at Stevens Tech. Trailing 9-1 with just over 11 minutes left in the third quarter, Jez went on to win nine of the final 10 face-offs in the game to put the Pride in position for a sensational comeback. Jez went on to win all eight face-offs in the fourth quarter, and finished winning 13 of the 23 in the game. He also scooped up eight ground balls in the Pride's 10-9 thrilling victory.
Jez and the Pride return to action on Wednesday when they host Amherst at 7:00 pm on Stagg Field.
