Moira Price has been chosen Springfield College's Female Maroon Club Athlete of the Week (Mar.17) after having a standout weekend at the 27th Annual NCAA Division III Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships at the University of Miami’s (Ohio) Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center.
Price, who hails from Berkeley Heights, N.J., was named an All-American in all three events that she participated in over the weekend.
She opened up the weekend with a 13th place finish in the 50 freestyle after touching the wall in a time of 24.21.
The following day in the 100 breaststroke, Price qualified for the finals with a time of 1:04.44 after the preliminary swim. The junior responded in the finals with a time of 1:03.88, good enough for third place in the country.
In her final event, the 200 breaststroke, Price entered the finals as the top seed after she clocked in a time 2:17.74. In the finals, Price touched in 2:18.54, good enough for third place, en route to her third All-American honor.
