Griffin Competes at the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championships
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (November 17, 2007) – Mike Griffin finished 206th (of 280) as an individual in the NCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country Championships at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. earlier today.A native of Scarborough, Maine, Griffin placed first among those who competed from the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference. His time was 26:25 over the 8,000-meter course.
NYU won the team competition with 128 points, while Tyler Sigl of Wisconsin-Plattville finished first among individuals with a time of 24:24.
It was a good week overall for Griffin. The junior placed eighth in the NCAA Division III New England Regionals last Saturday in Waterford, Conn. He was then named to the All-Region Team last Tuesday.
