

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 16, 2007) – Andrew Constant and Joe Lisi of the Springfield College men’s tennis team have been named this week’s New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference Doubles Team of the Week.
Constant, a sophomore from Kingston, N.Y., and Lisi, a junior from Southbridge, Mass., have combined to play No. 1 doubles for the Pride this season. As a duo, they went 2-0 this past week, winning a pair of conference matches on the road.
The duo first defeated Ryan Beck and Chris Pappe of Coast Guard, 8-4, in an 8-1 team victory last Wednesday. They then defeated Payum Payman and Brad Dressler of Wheaton College, 9-8, in the team’s 7-2 loss at Wheaton last Saturday.
Springfield is now 6-5 as a team in the 2006-07 academic year, 2-2 in the conference.
SC is next scheduled to play at home Wednesday, April 18 versus Holy Cross at 4 p.m., then at Amherst Friday, April 20 at 3:30 p.m.
Tim Losee ’05, G’07 was named the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College in August of 2009. A former four-year member of Springfield’s men’s tennis team, Losee returns to his alma mater to pilot both the men’s and women’s tennis programs. Read more.
