WALTHAM, Mass., September 17, 2005 – Springfield College sophomore forward Christine Turbitt (East Providence, R.I.) scored her fourth goal of the season this afternoon (Sept. 17) as the Pride played non-conference foe, Brandeis University to a 2-2 tie at Gordon Field in Waltham, Mass.

Brandeis (3-1-1) re-gained the lead in the 72nd minute when junior forward Lisa Kaplin scored her second goal of the contest, but the Pride would quickly respond. Just five minutes later, in the 77th minute, freshman midfielder Lauren Peltier (Agawam, Mass.) equalized the game off an assist from sophomore forward Nicole Hanewich (Cumberland, R.I.).
Freshman goalie Sue Jenney (Agawam, Mass.) was credited with 12 saves for the Pride, including a spectacular stop with just ten seconds left in double overtime.
