Lannan Tabbed NEWMAC Player of the Week in Women's Lacrosse

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- March 31, 2008 - Kaeleigh Lannan has been honored as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Player of the Week after she led the Pride to an impressive week in a pair of games.

Lannan, a native of Derry, N.H. had a breakout week for the Pride as she helped lead them to a 2-0 record.

In the Pride's NEWMAC opener against Wheaton, Lannan netted a game-high four goals, including the game-winner, to go along with an assist as the Pride rallied to a 10-9 victory.

Earlier in the week against Keene State, Lannan recorded a goal and an assist in Springfield's 8-6 non-conference win.

A former standout for Springfield’s women’s lacrosse team, Mullady returns to her alma mater to head up a program that went 12-6 and reached the conference tournament championship game a year ago.
