Price and Taffe Earn NEWMAC Post-season Accolades In Women's Swimming
Babson Park, Mass. – March 6, 2008 - The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced its 2007-08 Women's Swimming & Diving Post-season awards on Thursday.

Springfield junior Moira Price (Berkeley Heights, N.J.) was named NEWMAC Swimmer of the Year, while MIT senior Doria Holbrook (Yakima, Wash.) was named NEWMAC Diver of the Year. John Taffe, whose Springfield Pride won the NEWMAC championship, was named Swimming Coach of the Year. Brad Snodgrass of MIT was named Diving Coach of the Year. Mount Holyoke took home the NEWMAC Sportsmanship Award for the second year in a row.

Price captured first team All-Conference in three individual events at the NEWMAC championship, the 50 Free, 100 Breast and 200 Breast, breaking NEWMAC championship records in all three events. She was also a member of two first team All-Conference relay squads, the 400 Free and 800 Free teams. Holbrook, a two time NCAA national champion, won both the one-meter and three-meter board events, breaking NEWMAC championship records with her scores in each.
