Adrian Schippers Named to D3kicks.com All-New England Region Third Team

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., November 28, 2006 – Springfield College freshman Adrian Schippers has been named to the D3kicks.com All-New England Region Third Team.

The forward from Ashby, Mass., Schippers played in all 20 matches this season for the Pride. The centerpiece of the Pride’s offense, Schippers led the team in both goals and assists with seven and four, respectively. Along with making the All-New England Third Team, Adrian was recently named to the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Second Team as well as taking home the award for NEWMAC Rookie of the Year.

The Pride ended its season with a 6-12-2 overall record, losing to second-seeded Babson College in a NEWMAC semifinal after upsetting third-seeded Clark in the first round. With Schippers leading the way, the squad looks to improve on last season’s record.
