Men's Tennis Edges Clark, 4-3
Springfield Mass., April 16, 2003 - - Springfield College freshman Justin Freitas (East Providence, R.I.) won in #4 singles, the tie-breaking match, to lift the Pride past Clark, 4-3, in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference match at Appleton Courts Wednesday afternoon.
Pride junior Yuta Yoshi (Yokosuka, Japan) won in #1 singles while junior Chris Sweeney (Wakefield, Mass.) took #3 singles.
Springfield swept doubles play as Yoshi and sophomore Rich Aseltine (Tyngsboro, Mass.) took first place in #1 doubles, Freitas and Sweeney teamed up to win #2 doubles and sophomore Tim Losee (Berlin, N.H.) and junior Chris Brouses (Delran, N.J.) took #3 doubles play.
Oliver Hartman, Nikola Milinkovic and Micah Veilleux won in singles play for Clark.

Tim Losee ’05, G’07 was named the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College in August of 2009. A former four-year member of Springfield’s men’s tennis team, Losee returns to his alma mater to pilot both the men’s and women’s tennis programs.
