BOSTON, Oct. 8, 2004 – Springfield College junior
Meg Young (Hurley, N.Y.) covered the five-kilometer Franklin Park course in 19:16 to place 66th at the New England Championship meet.
Freshman
Alyssa Brigham (Penacook, N.H.) continued her strong freshman season by finishing second for the Pride (20:47, 188th), followed by sophomore
Jackie Knoblock (Plymouth, N.Y.) (21:05, 231st). Junior
Jessie Zaccaro (Washingtonville, N.Y.) finished four seconds behind Knoblock, to finish 235th.
The Pride competes at the Twin Brook Invitational at the University of Southern Maine on October 16

Jim Pennington enters his 26th season as head coach of the Springfield College women’s cross country and track and field teams in 2009-2010. Under Pennington’s direction, the Pride has recorded seven top 20 finishes at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and seven top 15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
