Mike Griffin Named to 2007 Division III Men’s All-Region Cross Country Team
NEW ORLEANS, La., - November 14, 2007 – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced today the 2007 Division III Men’s All-Region Cross Country teams for the eight cross country regions. All-Region honors are given to an athlete who finishes in the top 35 at their respective regional meet.For his eighth-place finish at the New England Regionals on Saturday, Springfield's Mike Griffin (Scarborough, Maine) picked up the all-region accolade. Griffin was just one of four runners from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference to be honored.
Griffin looks to make his last race of the season a memorable one as the junior will head to Minnesota this weekend for the National Championships held at St. Olaf College.
