

The Torrington, Conn. native lifted the Springfield College men's basketball team to a pair of conference wins over the week. With the two victories, the Pride catapulted themselves into fourth-place in the league standings.
For the week, Strawson averaged 15 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while shooting 61% from the floor (11-of-18).
Strawson helped lead his team against Coast Guard as Springfield won, 57-55. Strawson, who hit the game-winning three-point play with 12.4 seconds left, netted 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting. He added eight rebounds, a block, and a steal, while shooting 5-of-7 from the foul line.
In the Pride's 61-53 win over Babson on Saturday, Strawson tallied nine points and five rebounds to go along with two steals and an assist, going 3-of-6 from the field. Strawson and the Pride return to action on Wednesday evening when they travel to take on Wheaton. Tip off is slated for 7:00 pm
Charlie Brock in 2009-10 will enter his 12th season as the head coach at Springfield College. Brock’s achievements as a coach are certainly impressive, as he has taken three schools to the NCAA Division III Tournament and has an overall, 29-year record of 394-363 for a winning percentage of .520.
