

With the win, Springfield is now 3-8 over the course of the entire 2007-2008 season. This was the Pride's first outing of the spring.
Springfield won all three doubles matches to start off the day. The Pride then won five of six singles matches, including two in super tiebreakers. Salve's only victory came at No. 1 singles where freshman Heather Fox (Marblehead, Mass.) defeated SC junior Melissa Weinstein (Allentown, Pa.), 6-4, 6-1.
Springfield winners from No. 2 through 6 singles included freshman Amy Shaw (Walpole, Mass.) at No. 2, sophomore Rachel Kushma (London, England) at No. 3, sophomore Sarah Russo (Amsterdam, N.Y.) at No. 4, sophomore Funmi Olowookere (Woonsocket, R.I.) at No. 5, and freshman Kyla Walgren (West Hartford, Conn.) at No. 6.
In doubles, Weinstein and Shaw teamed up to win at No. 1, 8-4. Kushma and Russo won at No. 2, 9-7, and Olowookere and Walgren won at No. 3, 9-7. In the last two matches listed, Springfield had to come from behind.
