Women's Cross Country Finishes Ninth At Southern Maine Invitational
CUMBERLAND, Maine, October 18, 2003 - Springfield College sophomore Meghan Young (Hurley, N.Y.) finished a team-best 16th overall (23:39) as the Pride ran to a ninth-place finish out of 13 teams at the Southern Maine Invitational on Saturday.
SC sophomore Emily Michaud (Caribou, Maine) finished with an overall time of 24:32, good for 27th place.
Trinity College won the meet with an score of 21 points.
On the men's side, SC junior Patrick Derocco (Utica, N.Y.) finished with a time of 28:35 to lead the Pride to 10th overall out of 13 teams. Senior Brian Pearsall (Fairport, N.Y.) placed 58th with a time of 28:47.
Next up for both teams is the NEWMAC Cross-Country Championships at Clark on Sat., November 1.
