Men's Soccer Drops Thriller At Skidmore

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y., Oct. 27, 2004 - Springfield College freshman forward Pete Bianco (Patchogue, N.Y.) tallied his third goal of the season, but the Pride fell, 2-1 in double overtime, to Skidmore College this afternoon in Sarasota Springs.

Bianco found the back of the net just :45 into the match with the help of a pass from freshman midfielder Tony Distasio (Burlington, Conn.). Just under four minutes later, the Thoroughbreds answered when senior Rollie Kielman put a Michael Grasewski pass into the net.

In the first minute of the second overtime, Kielman notched his second goal of the match to down the Pride.

Freshman goalkeeper B.J. Sturdivant (Bear, Del.) stopped seven shots for SC.

The Pride (6-10-1) will play its final regular season match on Saturday, Oct. 30 versus Coast Guard at 1:00 p.m. on Brock-Affleck Field.
