Women's Track and Field Places 27th out of 56 Teams at ECAC's

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - March 8, 2008 - Over the weekend, the Springfield College women's indoor track and field team recorded a 27th place finish at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships.

56 teams were in the event, with just 51 scoring.

The Pride's top finisher over the weekend was Nikki Hay in the triple jump. The Norwalk, Conn. native set a new school record en route to qualifying for the NCAAs and earning All-ECAC honors with a distance of 11.61m (38-1.25).

Springfield's 4x220 yard relay team also earned All-ECAC honors as it ran its best time of the year. The team of Nicole Reynolds, Katie Parente, Jenn McBride, and Hay crossed the finish line in a time of 1:47.04.
