Dan Blinn (Longmeadow, Mass.) tallied three goals and two assists to lead the
No. 14 Pride over Norwich, 23-0, for its seventh-straight win this evening in Pilgrim League men’s lacrosse action on Benedum Field.
The Pride (7-4, 5-0 Pilgrim) opened a 8-0 first-quarter lead as eight different Pride players were credited with a goal. SC scored six unanswered goals, including two by Blinn in a one-minute span, to take a commanding 14-0 halftime lead.
Five Springfield goals in the third quarter, capped by the first collegiate tally by freshman attackman
Chris Healy (Weymouth, Mass.) at the 2:29 mark, made it a 19-0 game after 45 minutes of play.
Freshman midfielder
Tyler Montgomery (Brunswick, Maine) added his first collegiate goal at the 2:22 mark of the fourth quarter for the final, 23-0, outcome.
Norwich falls to 4-6, including a 2-3 Pilgrim League mark with the loss.
SC returns to action on Saturday (April 23), traveling to MIT for an 11:00 a.m. Pilgrim League contest.
