

WEST POINT, N.Y. – March 8, 2008 - The Springfield College men's gymnastics team fell to rival Army on Saturday afternoon by the score of 328.650-324.400.
Andy Kelly led the way for the Springfield in the meet with a pair of impressive performances. Kelly captured first place on the parallel bars with a score of 13.65 and placed second in the floor exercise with a 14.1.
On the high bars, Josh Fox tied for first place with a score of 14.050. Matt Bolognese also finished first on the afternoon in the rings with a score 14.250. Keith Stumpf registered a second-place finish on the vault as he scored a 15.000.
Springfield returns to action on March 16th when it hosts Army and MIT for a 1:00 pm meet.
Entering his 28th season as head men's gymnastics coach, Dr. Steve Posner is recognized as one of the most outstanding gymnastics coaches in the East. Posner, who has coached 135 All-Americans and 18 National Champions, led the Pride to another successful season in 2009.
