Women's Tennis Gains First Win of Season With 8-1 Victory Over Clark
SPRINGFIELD , Mass. Sept. 24, 2002 – Springfield College senior captain Liz Poulin (Waterville Maine/Waterville) posted wins in first singles and No. 1 doubles action lifting the Pride to its first win of the season as SC defeated Clark, 8-1, at Appleton Courts.
Poulin defeated Lauryn Christiansen, 6-2, 6-2 in first singles competition and the SC captain teamed with junior
Melissa Boyington (Vernon, Conn./Rockville) scoring an 8-1 win over Alexis Dallaportas and Victoria Fiorini in No. 1 doubles play.
With the win, Springfield improves to 1-5 on the season while Clark drops to 0-7.
