Lampros Nets Her 100th Career Goal as Women's Lacrosse Tops Allegheny, 19-6

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- March 16, 2008 -- The Springfield college women's lacrosse team opened up its Spring Break trip with a commanding 19-6 victory over Allegheny in West Palm Beach, Florida.

With 7:20 remaining in the first half, Rachel Lampros found the back of the cage for what proved to be the 100th goal of her career. Lampros is just the ninth player in program history to hit the century mark.

Springfield had a 7-3 advantage at the half, but Allegheny battled back in the second half. The Gators cut the Pride's lead to three goals at the start of the second half, but the Pride was too much down the stretch.

Kaeligh Lannan was outstanding for the Pride as the freshman netted eight goals in the 13-goal victory. Lampros finished with four goals in the game, while Alexandra Bazzano added two goals and an assist.
