SPRINGFIELD, Mass., October 28, 2005 - Springfield College seniors Amy Domurad (Merrimack, N.H.) and Angela Giles (Concord, N.H.), and junior Meghan Kelly (Queensbury, N.Y.) have been selected to the 2005 New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women’s Tennis Academic All-Conference Team.
Domurad, who hails from Merrimack High School, has accumulated a 3.51 cumulative grade-point-average (GPA) into the fall semester of her senior year. The sports management major was the lone captain of the Pride this season, playing at #4 singles and #2 doubles the entire season.
Giles, a graduate of Concord High School, boasts a 3.42 cumulative GPA as a physical therapy major at SC. The senior compiled an impressive 6-1 singles record at #6 this season, while also playing on the Pride’s #3 doubles squad.
Kelly, from Queensbury High School, has a 3.51 cumulative GPA as a math and computer technology major at Springfield College. Kelly recorded a 7-7 record at #2 singles this year for the Pride, while also competing at the #1 doubles level.
