

KEENE, N.H. (September 5, 2007) –The 15th ranked Springfield College field hockey team handed Keene State College its first loss of the season, a 4-0 non-conference shutout at Owl Athletic Complex on Wednesday night. Keene State falls to 1-1. Springfield (3-0) remains undefeated.
The Pride did all their scoring in the first half. After Jane Kelleher made it 1-0, Meghan Bradley followed with three unassisted goals. Bradley has a team-leading four goals for the Pride.
KSC goalie Jennifer McDougall had one save. Emma Kaplan registered two saves and Julia Kincade added another as each played a half in goal for Springfield.
The Pride look to continue its winning ways when it heads up to Ithaca on Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. match.
After only five years as head coach of the Pride, Melissa Rogers, has continued the SC tradition of winning on the field hockey turf, posting an impressive 94-24 record, good for a winning percentage of .796 at the helm of her alma mater.
