A storied tradition of success at Springfield College is backed up by the Pride's four Molten Division III National Championships. SC captured its third consecutive national championship in 2003 with a win at previously top-ranked Juniata. It was the first time a Division III men's volleyball program had won three straight national titles.
At the 2002 national championship, the Pride toppled the No. 1 and No. 2 ranked teams in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III National Poll to capture its second straight national championship.
The Pride has finished No. 1 in the final AVCA Division III National Poll an impressive five times (1996, '97, '01, '02, '03).
During the 2007 season, SC finished third in the nation in Division III and had junior middle blocker Andy Sipe named a first team AVCA Division III All-American. Sophomore outside hitter A.J. Nally and junior opposite Ryan Fredrickson were named second team All-Americans. All three received All-EIVA recognition as did senior libero Brandon Waas.
