The Springfield College men's tennis program, which dates back to 1909, has an impressive tradition. Through the 2007 season, SC's all-time record is 547-377-16, which translates into a .590 winning percentage. From 1985 to 1995, SC won six conference team titles, and produced 25 individual and 14 doubles conference champions.
In the past two years (2006 and 2007), Springfield College has been the recipient of New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Rookie of the Year honors. Andrew Constant ’09 was tabbed NEWMAC Rookie of the Year in 2006, while Trevor Romanzi '10 won similar honors last spring. In 2007, SC finished 8-7 overall, 3-2 in the conference, and reached the semifinals of the NEWMAC post-season tourney.
