Andy Sipe: Men's Volleyball

Andy Sipe
Andy Sipe has been selected as the Springfield College Male Maroon Club Athlete of the Week after powering the men's volleyball team to a pair of non-conference victories last week.

The senior All-American from New Oxford, Pa. was terrific as the Pride downed No. 8 Vassar in four games and Division II-foe Quincy in four games.

For the week, Sipe totaled 12 kills, hitting .540, to go along with 19 blocks and eight digs. Sipe started the week with a 13-kill, 13, block, seven-dig performance against the Brewers as he hit .579 in a rematch of last year's national championship match. Sipe then totaled 10 kills and six blocks as the Pride downed the Quincy Hawks.

Sipe, who recently set the program's career block record, leads the team with 95 blocks this year. He has also totaled 103 kills, hitting .352 for the season.
