Chris Brown: Wrestling

A heavyweight, Brown won the 285-pound weight classification by winning all five matches in the Petrofes Invitational at Messiah College in Grantham, Pa. this past Friday and Saturday (Dec. 5-6). In order, the #2-seeded Brown defeated Jake Weinrich of Wilkes, 9-2; Darren Snead of Brockport by fall in 1:56; #7-seeded Kevin Gregory of Oneonta State, 11-3; #6-seeded Derrick Hesson of Mount Union, 4-3; and #4-seeded Jabril Patterson of Brockport, 3-2. Springfield finished 5th of 12 teams in this prestigious tourney with 108.5 points.
