Shawn Runyon: Men's Lacrosse

A sophomore from Fairport, N.Y., Runyon was terrific for the Pride as he tallied five goals and added an assist in a pair of Springfield victories.

Runyon netted two goals, including the game-winning strike, in the Pride's first win of the season, a 17-6 victory over Gordon on Wednesday. In Sunday’s 8-7 win over 14th-ranked Stevens Institute, the second-year midfielder erupted for three goals and tacked on an assist. He netted his second game-winning goal of the week as he buried a shot on the run with 3:13 remaining in regulation.

For the season, Runyon ranks third on the team with seven points and has scored six goals on seven shots.
