Kelsey Bishop: Women's Track and Field

Bishop finished first in her specialty, the hammer, with a toss of 50.88 meters. She qualified provisionally for the nationals with that throw. She had come in to the meet seeded first with a toss of 49.52 meters. The second-place finisher in this event, Kelsey's freshman teammate Fatima Rose, threw the hammer in 40.50 meters. So, Kelsey won this event by an astounding total of more than 10 meters.

Bishop also finished sixth in the shot put (9.92 meters), and ninth in the discus (31.00 meters).
