Kaeleigh Lannan: Women's Lacrosse

Kaeleigh Lannan
Kaeleigh Lannan has been selected as the Springfield College Female Maroon Athlete of the Week after she helped guide the women's lacrosse team to its sixth-straight win on Saturday after the Pride downed Wheaton, 17-6.

A native of Derry, N.H., Lannan set the tone early for the Pride as she buried a free-position goal 2:41 into the game. Lannan went on to score five times in the first half as the Pride opened up a 12-2 lead and never looked back. She went on to add her sixth goal of the game in the second half and finished 3-3 on free-position shots in the game. The sophmore midfielder also added two draw controls.

The six-game winning streak is the longest in program history since 2004, when the Pride also rattled off six wins in a row.

Lannan leads a balanced Pride scoring attack this year as she has tallied 27 points off 22 goals an five assists. Six players for the Pride have scored at least 10 goals this season.
