Caitlin Sawczuk: Women's Soccer

A senior forward from Plainville, Conn., Sawczuk tallied two goals in Springfield's season-opening overtime win over Westfield State on Friday evening. Sawczuk tallied the first goal of the game early in the second half and then netted the game winner just under four minutes into overtime to give Springfield the 2-1 victory.

For her efforts, Sawczuk was also recognized as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week.
