Pete Sessa was selected as an Inside Lacrosse/Face-Off Magazine preseason honorable mention All-American, which was announced on Thursday morning. This marks the first time in his career that Sessa earned preseason All-America accolades from the national lacrosse publication.

Boston Cannons Draft Jake Beebe in 2009 MLL Collegiate Draft
Hoboken, N.J. - May 28, 2009 - On Wednesday evening,
Jake Beebe was selected by the Boston Cannons with the 40th pick of the 2009 Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Collegiate Draft on the campus of Stevens Institute of Technology. Beebe is the first player in program history to be drafted in the MLL Collegiate Draft and will now play in the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league in the country.

Albano and Delia Highlight ECAC All-Star Honors; Four Pick Up Regional Accolades
Springfield, Mass. - May 27, 2009 - The Springfield College men's lacrosse team had four members recognized by the ECAC recently as the 2009 Division III New England Men's Lacrosse All-Stars, Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, and Rookie of the Year were announced.
Tom Albano was named the Goalkeeper of the Year, while
Mike Delia was tabbed the Rookie of the year. Teammates
Jake Beebe and
Sam Burrell joined Albano on the ECAC All-Star First Team.

Under the direction of head coach
Keith Bugbee, who enters his 27th season in 2010, Springfield has established itself as one of the top men's lacrosse programs in the country. Springfield won the 1994 national championship and has participated in 13 NCAA Tournaments and 10 ECAC Championships. Thirty-nine of Bugbee's players have received All-America recognition.
In 2009, the Pride returned to the NCAA Tournament and were led by Pilgrim Lacrosse League Player of the Year and Major League Lacrosse draftee,
Jake Beebe. SC has been in the NCAA Division III Tournament eight of the 10 years. In 2001, SC recorded a 16-2 mark, a No. 5 ranking in the final national poll, led the country in scoring (17.78 goals/game), and reached the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament. Springfield has advanced to the Pilgrim Lacrosse League's championship game in all 10 years of the League's existence and has won the game eight times.
The 2010 Pride has its eye on returning to the NCAA Tournament for the third straight year as it will be led by Pilgrim League Rookie of the Year
Mike Delia and a strong group of returners. Along with Delia, the Pride will depend on First-Team All-Pilgrim Lacrosse League selection
Pete Sessa as it looks to defend its league title.

Keith Bugbee enters his 27th season as head men's lacrosse coach at Springfield College in 2010. Under his direction, the Pride is one of the top programs in the country. Bugbee's coaching record stands at an impressive 279-133 (.675 winning percentage).
