

BEIJING, CHINA- August 12, 2008 - Springfield College senior Roy Burch can now officially add "2008 Summer Olympic Games Participant" to his impressive swimming resume as the Bermuda native competed in the 100 freestyle.In Burch's lone event of the competition, the 100 freestyle, he swam in Heat #2 of nine heats. Seeded 56th of 64 entrants, Burch finished with a time of 52.65 seconds.
Burch, who was one of six entrants from his native Bermuda, hopes this will not be his only Olympics. He plans on training to reach the Summer Olympic Games in 2012, which will take place in London, England.
