Meet Head Coach Peter Ferraro

Peter Ferraro On August 10, 2007 Peter Ferraro was appointed the head men's cross country coach. A 2007 graduate of Springfield College, Ferraro returned to his alma mater to lead the cross country squad. The fall of 2009 will represent his third year to lead the helm.

In his first year, Ferraro helped guide Mike Griffin to the NCAA Championships at St. Olaf Colege in Northfield, Minn. Griffin had finished eighth of 330 runners at the NCAA Regionals at Harkness Park in Waterford, Conn. Both Griffin and Jeff Bartlett were also named NEWMAC All-Academic for 2007.

A native of Springfield, Mass., Ferraro was a four-year letterwinner for the Pride. Serving as the team captain during the 2006 campaign, Ferraro was selected to the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team. Ferraro went on to graduate Cum Laude with a degree in Business Management. He previously served as the assistant track coach at Cathedral High School in Springfield.
