Pearsall Swims the 50 Free at NCAA Division III Championships

Minneapolis, Minn. - March 18, 2009 - Senior Greg Pearsall competed in the opening day of the 2009 NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships as he swam in the 50 freestyle.

Pearsall, who hails from Litchfield, Conn., touched in a time of 20.65, which was not fast enough to have him qualify for the finals on Friday evening. He qualified for the event with a time of 20.46 and was seeded 11th as he swam in the event's eighth heat in lane six. In an event where hundredth's of seconds separate competitors, Pearsall missed being one of the top 16 in the event by 7/100th's of a second.

He is also scheduled to swim in the 100 free and 200 free later on this week.
