

Worcester, Mass. -- March 25, 2009 -- Amy Shaw was most competitive, but her efforts were not good enough to prevent her Springfield College women's tennis team from suffering a 7-0 loss at Holy Cross this afternoon. With the loss, the Pride is now 2-10. Holy Cross, meanwhile, raises its record to 4-5.Shaw, a sophomore from Walpole, Mass., fought hard in the first set of her No. 1 singles match before losing, 7-5. She then lost the second set, 6-1, to her opponent, Kristen Meahl.
