DiPaolo Picks Up Fourth NEWMAC Runner of the Week
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- October 20, 2008 -- After another outstanding individual performance this weekend at the UAlbany Invitational, Amanda DiPaolo was honored as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.The junior from Garrison, N.Y. finished 18th overall in a time of 18:30 in a 5,000 meter race comprised of Division I, II, and III institutions.
As a team, the Pride as a team finished 12th out of 24.

Head Coach Jim Pennington
Jim Pennington enters his 26th season as head coach of the Springfield College women’s cross country and track and field teams in 2008-2009. Under Pennington’s direction, the Pride has recorded seven top 20 finishes at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and seven top 15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
