Amendola and Brognano Named To USTFCCCA Division III Men’s All-Academic Track and Field Team
New Orleans, La. - July 9, 2009 - Matt Amendola and Tom Brognano were recently honored for their academic success as they were both named to the 2009 USTFCCCA Division III Men’s All-Academic Track and Field Team.To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 and have met the NCAA Division III Indoor or Outdoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard in their respective event.
Both Amendola and Brognano were a part of Springfield's 4x100 relay team that earned All-America status in the outdoor season. Along with teammates Nickel Hay and Steve Headley, the Pride finished sixth with a time of 41.36 seconds.

Head Coach Ken Klatka
Ken Klatka, enters his 34th season as head coach of the men’s track and field program in 2009-2010. He ranks among the nation’s most successful coaches, with an overall record of 407 wins, 140 losses, and two ties for an impressive .740 winning percentage. Under his direction, Steve Headley '10 won two NCAA titles in '08-'09.
