

Complete ResultsSterling, Mass. - April 21, 2009 - Led by Mike LaJoie, the Springfield College golf team finished 10th out of 15 teams at Worcester State Invitational on a rainy, Tuesday afternoon. LaJoie tied for fifth place on the day as he fired a 74 on the Par 71, 6323 yard Sterling National Country Club Golf Course.
Salem State won the Invitational with a team score of 298, followed by Nichols' 304, and Trinity's 310. Jeff Santora of Salem State won the Invitational with a three-under, 68.
As for the rest of the Pride, Greg Levings tied for 32nd with an 82, while teammate Bryan Anderson also tied for 32nd with an 82 as well. The duo of J.R. Balogun and Kyle Hicks shot identical rounds of 96 on the day.
The reigning NECC Golf Coach of the Year, Joe Eadie enters his 16th season as the head men's golf coach at Springfield College in the fall of 2009. Eadie is the head golf professional at the Fenway Golf Range in nearby East Longmeadow, and is in the process of becoming a PGA Professional. Read more.
