

Lynchburg, Va. -- May 14, 2009 - Liberty University Athletics Director Jeff Barber announced today the hiring of Regan Denham to usher in the women’s lacrosse program as the first head coach in Liberty school history. Denham comes most recently from Springfield College, located in Springfield, Mass. In her only season at Springfield College, Denham led her squad to a 12-6 record and a 5-1 mark in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC). The Pride fell to Babson in the championship game of the NEWMAC Tournament. Denham also served as an assistant professor of physical education at Springfield.
Kristen Mullady ‘00, has been named an assistant professor of physical education and head women’s lacrosse coach at Springfield College. A former standout for Springfield’s women’s lacrosse team, Mullady returns to her alma mater to head up a program that went 12-6 and reached the conference tournament championship game a year ago.
