Women's Tennis Falls to UPR-Rio Piedras in Puerto Rico

San Juan, Puerto Rico -- March 21, 2009 -- Kyla Walgren put up the best fight, but in the end it was not enough to prevent the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras women's tennis team from defeating Springfield College, 9-0, earlier today in SC's last match in Puerto Rico during Spring Break. As the match was not played against a four-year U.S. institution, the match did not count on Springfield's W-L record.

Final Score: UPR-Rio Piedras 9, Springfield 0

Head Coach Tim Losee

Tim Losee ’05, G’07 was named the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College in August of 2009. A former four-year member of Springfield’s men’s tennis team, Losee returns to his alma mater to pilot both the men’s and women’s tennis programs. Read more.
