

Only the seventh coach in a rich soccer tradition dating back to 1906, Peter Haley '77 G '78 will be entering his 25th season of coaching at his alma mater in the fall of 2009. Haley, who earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in physical education at Springfield College, currently serves as an associate professor in the physical education teacher preparation program.

Currently serving his third year with the program. Edwards arrived at Springfield College from Southampton Football Club in England where he served as academy coach. During his time at Southampton, Edwards worked with the U13 and U14 teams and also assisted with the video analysis for the U18 team. Edwards successfully completed his undergraduate degree in Sports Science with a concentration in Coaching Science from the University College Chichester. While in England, Edwards completed his UEFA B license, The FA Youth Coaches License, SAQ diploma and NCF certificate in coaching. Most recently, Edwards completed a masters program in Advanced Level Coaching and has completed the NSCAA National and Advanced National diplomas.

Siebert has been involved in soccer all over the world for the past 20 years. Playing on many youth soccer clubs that always competed at the highest level in Germany, Siebert has had the opportunities to compete in Africa, Australia, and South America, as well as in all throughout Europe. For the past 10 years, Siebert has moved to the sidelines where he has developed as a coach, and has been a head coach with three different German club teams. He has obtained a national coaching license in the US as well as the UEFFA B license. He has a degree in exercise science and has worked at a well renowned fitness club, Elixia, in Germany.

Luster enters his first year with the Pride and looks to continue the success he experienced as a player. While playing at Franklin Pierce, Luster's squad advanced to the NCAA Championship in 2006. Upon graduation from Franklin Pierce with a degree in American Studies with a concentration in history as well as an elmentary teaching certificate, Luster went to coach club soccer. For the past three years, Luster has been a club coach for Ajax, based out of Bristol, Conn. During his time with the club, he worked with U-12, U-15, and U-19 teams. Luster has his NSCAA Advanced Regional Certification.
Smith is currently in his second year as the head coach for the junior varsity team. A sport management graduate student, Smith was previously a member of the High Point University men's soccer etam in North Carolina. While at High Point, Smith earned his bachelors degree in Communications. A native of Vermont, Smith has his Advanced National Diploma(NSCAA) and has coach youth, high school, and college soccer for the past 15 years.
Groccia will serve as a volunteer assistant coach for the Pride as he returns to his alma mater. A graduate from Springfield College in 1999, Groccia was a member of the men's soccer team from 1994-1998. He was a captain of the team in 1998 and was a NEWMAC All-Star in both 1997 and 1998. He has since been a physical educator for nine years, most recently in iShrewsbury, Mass. He has coached high school soccer, basketball and baseball, and was the assistant men's soccer coach and softball coach at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2008-2009.
