Heather Dobson Box Score

Schenectady, N.Y. - March 7, 2009 - Three players recorded three goals apiece but it wasn't enough as the Springfield College women's lacrosse team dropped a 14-10 decision to Buffalo State at Union College on Saturday afternoon.

With the loss, SC falls to 1-1 on the year while Buffalo State improves to 1-1.

Springfield fell behind 8-3 in the first half and couldn't rally past the Bengals in a second-half played in the rain. The Pride got hat tricks from Heather Dobson, Jenn Zubkus, and Alexandra Bazzano, while Kaeleigh Lannan tacked on the Pride's other tally. Megan O'Brien handed out a pair of assists in the contest, while Nicole Soucie and Zubkus each registered an assist as well.

Springfield returns to action on Thursday evening as it travels to take on local-foe Amherst at 6:00 pm.
