

2008 Franklin Pierce Invitational ResultsJAFFREY, N.H. - October 15, 2008 – The College of Saint Rose captured the team title at the 2008 Franklin Pierce Fall Classic on the 6,077-yard par-71 layout at The Shattuck this afternoon.
Saint Rose posted a 331 team score to finish tops among five programs at the event, topping second-place Worcester State College (336) by five strokes. Springfield finished third with a score of 345. Saint Rose freshman Matt Horton earned medalist honors at the event, posting three-over-par round of 74. Springfield senior Greg Levings finished second after carding a 78.
Craig DiFranco continued his strong play of late as he finished tied for third with a 79. Tied for 25th was Jared Slingarian, as he shot a 92 on the day, while J.R. Bologun finished tied for 28th with a 96. Jennifer Megargel rounded out the Pride's scoring as she finished with a 131.
Springfield returns to the links on Monday and Tuesday, October 21-22, when it wraps up its fall season at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championships on Cape Cod.
The reigning NECC Golf Coach of the Year, Joe Eadie enters his 16th season as the head men's golf coach at Springfield College in the fall of 2009. Eadie is the head golf professional at the Fenway Golf Range in nearby East Longmeadow, and is in the process of becoming a PGA Professional. Read more.
