Trio Compete In Individual Finals at West Point Open

Matt Bolognese West Point, N.Y. - January 17, 2009 - Three members of the Springfield College men's gymnastics team competed in the individual finals at the West Point Open on Saturday. Matt Bolognese finished tied for third in the rings and was the highest place finisher for the Pride on the day.

Bolognese posted a 14.350 on the still rings as he finished in a tie for third place. Josh Fox posted a 14.100 on the floor exercise as he finished in fifth place, while teammate Ty Evans finished tied for sixth place with a 13.300.

Springfield returns to action when it travels to take on Navy on Saturday, January 24th.

Steve Posner Entering his 28th season as head men's gymnastics coach, Dr. Steve Posner is recognized as one of the most outstanding gymnastics coaches in the East.
