Clapp Leads Women's Indoor Track & Field To Fifth Place At Brandeis Invitational

Jan. 11 - Springfield College junior Marisa Clapp (Charlton, Mass.) won the 1,500-meter run (4:41.93) and finished second in the 800-meter run (2:28.66) as the Pride's lone competitor at the Brandeis Invitational. Her 18 points put her in fifth-place overall in the team scoring.

Head Coach Jim Pennington
Jim Pennington enters his 26th season as head coach of the Springfield College women’s cross country and track and field teams in 2009-2010. Under Pennington’s direction, the Pride has recorded seven top 20 finishes at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and seven top 15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
