Men's Gymnastics Finishes Fifth At West Point Invitational

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Jan. 11 - Springfield College sophomore
Tim Goetz (South Plainfield, N.J.) finished fourth in the all-around competition to lead the Pride to fifth place at the West Point Invitational, Friday.
Goetz, who was an All-American on the vault and floor exercise last winter, totaled 50.8 points in the Pride's opening meet of the season.
In Saturday's individual competition, sopohomore
Nelson Jimenez (Salem, N.H.) finished tied for sixth with an 8.5 on the vault, while junior
Michael Smith (Salt Lake, Utah) scored a 7.95 on the parallel bars to finish eighth.
