Men's Gymnastics Falls to Army, 204.400-197.300
WEST POINT, N.Y., Jan.18, 2003 - Springfield College sophomore Tim Goetz (South Plainfield, N.J.) tied for first place in the all-around, however, Army pulled out the 204.400-197.300 victory over the Pride in the dual-meet opener for both teams.
Goetz, an All-American on the vault and floor exercise last winter, finished with an overall score of 50.250, tying him with Army’s Dustin Greehnill. SC junior Michael Smith (Salt Lake, Utah) took third place with an overall score of 48.880.
SC (0-1) hosts Southern Connecticut Sunday, Jan. 26 at 1:00 p.m.
