Diving Finishes Third In SC Diving Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., December 8, 2002 - Springfield College freshman Mike Shaw (Westfield, Mass.) earned the male diver-of-the-meet honors, propelling the Pride to a third-place finish out of 13 teams at the SC Diving Invitational on Sunday at the Art Linkletter Natatorium.

Shaw finished first on both the one and three-meter boards with scores of 267.30 and 265.45, respectively.

Senior All-American Alison Mellage (Union, N.J.) finished first in the one-meter dive with a score of 247.95 and fourth in the three meter dive with a score of 234.95 for the Pride.
